On Friday, 28th of December 2012, I launched Helensburgh.com.au. It is a passion to create the site as I grew up there, and I dearly enjoy playing in and around Helensburgh when I was young. The more history I found out about the place, the more I was surprised and inspired to explore its stories and secrets.
I still have much to add, as Helensburgh has a rich coal mining and rail history; not to mention its characters and early pioneers. Helensburgh, and the greater 2508 area, has some spectacular natural offerings; the Illawarra Escarpment is a wonderment to all who view it from many vantage points along the coastline. But the best views are from the hang gliders and paragliders. I’m yet to take a leap off Bald Hill, but online video sharing set on Hi-Def can give one a decent experience, (nothing like the real thing however).
Go over and check out Helensburgh.com.au if your interested.
